Delicious and healthy Greek yogurt bagels that are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt and honey (if using) to the dry ingredients, then mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it’s smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a rope, then shape it into a bagel by forming a circle and pinching the ends together.
  7. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. If using, beat the egg and brush it over the bagels.
  9. Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bagels are golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite spread!

Notes

These bagels are great for breakfast with cream cheese or as a light snack with almond butter and banana. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
