Delicious and nutritious burgers made with black beans and quinoa, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Whole grain burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until smooth.
  2. Stir in the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, diced onions, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Combine until well mixed.
  3. Form the mixture into burger patties, ensuring they hold together.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and heated through.
  6. Serve on whole grain burger buns topped with lettuce, tomato, and any other toppings you enjoy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze the uncooked patties for up to three months.
