A classic Italian-American dish featuring crispy breaded chicken topped with marinara and melted mozzarella.

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Spaghetti or zucchini noodles
  • Caesar salad (optional)
  • Cheesy pull-apart bread (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season each chicken breast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure it adheres well.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce and a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve the Chicken Parmesan over spaghetti or zucchini noodles, optionally pairing it with a fresh Caesar salad and cheesy pull-apart bread.

Notes

Pound the chicken for even cooking. Use fresh herbs and quality cheese for best flavor.
