Delicious homemade McGriddles with fluffy pancakes, savory sausage, crispy bacon, and fluffy omelets, perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. ground breakfast sausage (or 4 sausage patties)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup (200ml) whole milk
  • 4 tbsp. softened butter
  • 1 ¼ cups (160g) flour
  • ⅔ cup (150ml) milk
  • 2 7/8 tbsp. (40g) melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 slices of crispy bacon
  • 4 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sausage: In a bowl, gently massage the ground sausage until combined. Form it into 4 patties, season them with salt and pepper, and cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
  2. Make the omelets: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and whole milk until blended. Coat a pan with butter and pour in 1/4 of the egg mixture. Cook on low heat until set, then carefully fold. Repeat this for the remaining egg mixture to create four mini omelets.
  3. Prepare the pancake batter: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add in the ⅔ cup of milk, 1 egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  4. Cook the pancakes: Heat a non-stick pan and pour 2-3 tablespoons of the batter for each pancake. Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another minute. Repeat this step until you’ve made 8 pancakes.
  5. Crisp the bacon: In a separate pan, cook the bacon until it reaches your desired level of crispiness.
  6. Assemble the McGriddles: Layer one pancake with a slice of American cheese, followed by a sausage patty, an omelet, and some crispy bacon. Top it with another pancake. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used.

Notes
