A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors with chicken breasts seasoned and coated in a honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of oil until it shimmers.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet, searing each side for about 4 to 5 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  4. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. Lower the heat to medium, then add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir for about 20 to 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and honey, scraping the skillet’s bottom to release all that delicious flavor.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece, and let it simmer until the sauce thickens up—this should take about 6 to 8 minutes.
  8. Check that the chicken is cooked through (aim for an internal temperature of 74°C or 165°F).
  9. Allow the chicken to rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
