A quick and easy recipe for tender chicken thighs glazed with honey, garlic, and soy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes, or longer in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
  3. Heat neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Cook chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to reduce the sauce and coat the chicken.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving hot.

Notes

For maximum flavor, do not skip the marinating step! Chicken can be served over rice or with steamed broccoli.
