Delicious Korean chicken breasts marinated in a savory, sweet soy-based sauce for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice (for serving)
  • Steamed vegetables (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts into the marinade and ensure they are coated thoroughly. For the best flavor, let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Prepare to Cook: Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the Chicken: On the grill, cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches a safe internal temperature. If using an oven, place the chicken in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Serve: Pair the grilled or baked chicken breasts with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

For a soy-free option, consider using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
