Korean Chicken Breasts are a delightful twist on family dinners, bursting with flavor and easy to prepare, perfect for impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a Ziploc bag and pound them until they’re about ½ inch thick.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, apple sauce, onion, sesame oil, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Reserve ¼ cup of marinade and pour the rest into the bag with the chicken. Seal and massage the bag to coat the chicken.
  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Grill each chicken breast for 2-3 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with coconut aminos. Marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
