Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Skillet

A quick and flavorful one-pan meal combining tender chicken breasts with vibrant lemon and garlic, complemented by crisp green beans.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the green beans and pour in the lemon juice. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the green beans are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the delicious garlic butter sauce.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices and sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For substitutions, asparagus or broccoli can work well if you’re out of green beans. Adjust garlic to taste.
