A creamy and savory chicken dish bathed in Marsala wine and Parmesan cheese that can turn an ordinary dinner into a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear until both sides are golden brown, about 4-5 minutes each.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  7. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, mixing in the Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, topping each piece with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes or a crisp green salad. Crusty bread is great for soaking up the sauce.
