A magical dish that combines tender chicken breasts, creamy sauce, and pillowy gnocchi, perfect for date nights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 lb store-bought gnocchi
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken until golden brown—about 6–7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  6. Stir in the oregano and thyme, allowing the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  7. Add the gnocchi into the skillet, cooking for about 2–3 minutes until well-coated and warmed through.
  8. Slice the chicken, return it to the skillet, and gently combine everything.
  9. Plate your dish and serve with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an extra touch.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap heavy cream for half-and-half or use vegetable broth for a vegetarian alternative. Avoid microwaving leftover gnocchi to prevent a rubbery texture.
