A delightful and creamy pasta dish featuring seared chicken breasts, garlic, and a luscious sauce, perfect for impressing loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Start by finely chopping the garlic and gathering all your ingredients.
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the pasta and cook it until al dente, according to package instructions. After cooking, drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm some olive oil. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, searing each side until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes per side). Once golden and cooked through, remove them from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  5. Carefully pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Sprinkle in the oregano and, if desired, the red pepper flakes.
  6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet and let it simmer for around 10 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the creamy sauce.
  8. Serve hot, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chicken breasts and don’t rush the searing step. Consider adding fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon for extra flavor.
