A comforting Chicken Parmesan that combines creamy, cheesy goodness with tender chicken, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

  • 4 boneless (1½ pounds) chicken breasts, skinless
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry, then arrange them in a single layer in the prepared dish.
  3. Combine the mayonnaise (or yogurt), Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a medium bowl to make a thick and creamy paste.
  4. Spoon the mixture evenly over each chicken breast, ensuring they are covered.
  5. Bake the chicken uncovered for 30–40 minutes until the topping is golden and the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Broil on high for 1-3 minutes for extra browning, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Consider marinating the chicken in Italian dressing for added flavor. Serve with vegetables, salad, or over rice or pasta.
