Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and paprika, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant. Then, stir in the Dijon mustard and red pepper flakes.
Mix in the chopped parsley and optional dill, then add the chicken broth and lemon juice. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to thicken the sauce.
Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well-coated with the sauce. Let it cook for a few more minutes to absorb the flavors.
Garnish with extra parsley before serving.
Notes
Try serving it over rice or pasta, and don’t forget to pair it with a simple side salad or roasted vegetables.
