A wholesome and nutritious baked oatmeal dish featuring apples and cinnamon, perfect for busy mornings.

  • 2 medium apples, diced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cups milk (or milk alternative)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the rolled oats, diced apples, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together honey or maple syrup, milk, Greek yogurt, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the oats and apples, stirring well to combine.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts if desired.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and set in the middle.
  8. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
