A delicious and quick One-Pan Honey Butter Garlic Chicken & Rice recipe that brings the family together with its flavorful garlic and sweet honey glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup white rice (uncooked)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • To taste: salt, black pepper
  • 3 slices lemon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown and nearly cooked through, then remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat to medium, add the butter, and add the minced garlic. Cook until the garlic becomes fragrant and starts to brown lightly.
  4. Mix in honey and soy sauce, stirring until a sticky glaze forms around the garlic.
  5. Add the uncooked rice, stirring to fully coat it with the glaze.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and give it a quick stir.
  7. Nestle the chicken thighs back into the skillet and cover. Reduce heat to low, simmering for 18–22 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  8. Uncover, fluff the rice with a fork, and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Garnish with lemon slices if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken ahead of time. If short on time, opt for precooked chicken or rice.
