  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the olive oil, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Dredge the oiled chicken through the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to help it adhere.
  5. Arrange the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes until it turns golden.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Allow the dish to rest for a few minutes before serving to help the flavors meld.
