Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-style)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Begin by pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Set up the breading station: In one bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  3. Coat the chicken: Dredge each piece in the flour, dip into the egg mixture, then press into the Parmesan breadcrumb mix.
  4. Cook the chicken: Heat the olive oil (or butter) in a skillet over medium heat and cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Let the chicken rest before serving with lemon wedges or your favorite sides.

Notes

For added flavor, you can top the chicken with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese or add herbs to the breadcrumb mix.
