A comforting and delicious breakfast crumble made with tender pears and apples, topped with a crunchy oat crumble.

  • 3 pears, peeled and diced
  • 3 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose or gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the diced pears and apples until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the melted coconut oil or butter to the dry mixture and stir until fully combined.
  5. Spread the fruit mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit layer evenly.
  7. If using, scatter the nuts on top for added crunch.
