A creamy and luscious casserole that transforms classic French toast into a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of sliced brioche bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into chunks
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: Fresh fruits, nuts, or whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish and layer the sliced brioche bread.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the arranged bread slices, making sure each piece is nicely coated.
  5. Scatter cream cheese chunks on top of the bread mixture.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. The next day, bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh fruits, nuts, or drizzled with additional maple syrup.

Notes

For the best results, use stale or day-old brioche to absorb the egg mixture better. Consider lightly toasting fresh bread before layering.
