Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these Quark Coins made with oat flakes are a quick and delicious treat perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 250g Quark
  • 100g Oat flakes
  • 50g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 100g Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the quark, oat flakes, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar, and salt until well mixed.
  2. Gradually add in the flour and baking powder. Stir until the batter is smooth.
  3. Preheat a frying pan and add a small amount of oil.
  4. Using a tablespoon, drop portions of the batter into the pan.
  5. Fry the coins for a few minutes on each side until they’re golden brown.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the deliciousness!

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free flour. You can substitute regular sugar with brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
