Delightful, fluffy, protein-rich quark coins perfect for breakfast or a snack, combining Magerquark with hearty oats and warm cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Magerquark
  • 100 g Haferflocken
  • 2 Stück Eier
  • 50 g Honig oder Ahornsirup
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
  • 1 TL Backpulver
  • 1 Prise Salz
  • Zimt (nach Geschmack)
  • Öl oder Butter (zum Braten)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Magerquark, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. In another bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the quark mixture, stirring until a uniform batter forms.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little oil or butter.
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop small portions of the batter onto the skillet.
  6. Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes until they’re golden brown.
  7. When done, let the quark coins drain on a kitchen towel, and serve them warm.

Notes

Ensure the Magerquark is at room temperature before mixing for better incorporation. They can be enjoyed with extra honey or maple syrup, fresh fruits, or yogurt.
