  • 1 loaf of bread (cubed)
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Spread the cubed bread across the dish, ensuring even coverage, and sprinkle blueberries on top.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and blueberries, ensuring all bread is soaked.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
