Ranch Chicken in the Crock Pot

A comforting, easy-to-prepare dish with tender chicken and creamy ranch flavor, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • Optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. If searing, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  2. In the crock pot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir well.
  3. Place seared chicken into the crock pot, ensuring it’s coated with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the sauce with two forks.
  6. Stir in sour cream and top with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
