A comforting and hearty casserole packed with sausage, eggs, and cheese, perfect for family gatherings or brunches.

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup bread (cubed, optional)
  • 1 cup vegetables (such as bell peppers or spinach, optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, then drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Grease a baking dish, then layer in the cooked sausage. If using, add the cubed bread and your choice of vegetables.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, then evenly sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  7. Allow it to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add cream cheese to the egg mixture. Let the casserole cool before cutting to help it hold its shape.
