A delicious and satisfying breakfast sandwich featuring crispy sausage, a perfectly cooked egg, and cheesy goodness on a toasted English muffin.

Ingredients

  • 1 English muffin
  • 1 breakfast sausage patty
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Split the English muffin in half and toast it until golden brown.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage patty for about 3-4 minutes on each side until it’s fully cooked.
  3. Using the same skillet, crack an egg and cook it sunny-side up, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. On the bottom half of your toasted muffin, layer the cooked sausage patty, followed by the egg, and then a slice of cheddar cheese.
  5. Top it off with the muffin’s other half and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to swap cheddar for another cheese or use whole grain/gluten-free English muffins.
