  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, onions, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and egg. Stir to form a cohesive dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Spread cooked sausage, cheese, and vegetables evenly over the surface.
  7. Tightly roll the dough into a log and slice it into even rolls.
  8. Arrange the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm, and enjoy a tasty breakfast!
