Delicious and nutritious biscuits packed with protein, perfect for breakfast or as a savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup protein powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in your choice of shredded cheese until well distributed.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, and olive oil until smooth. If using an egg, add that in too.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined—be careful not to over-mix!
  6. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  8. Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
