A creamy, cheesy chicken dish adorned with crispy bacon and Ranch flavors, perfect for cozy dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 to 3 pounds chicken breasts or thighs
  • 6 to 8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped (or 1 cup bacon bits)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet (about 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Place the raw chicken breasts or thighs evenly in the base of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and spread those over the top of the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  5. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and the cooked bacon bits, allowing the cheese to melt and mix with the bacon.
  7. Give everything a good stir until it’s creamy and thoroughly combined.

Notes

For added crunch, bake your bacon in the oven and chop it just before adding. You can marinate the chicken in buttermilk overnight for added tenderness.
