A comforting and satisfying dish featuring tender chicken coated in a creamy, flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  6. Stir in the chicken broth and sour cream, mixing until you have a well-blended sauce.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes to heat through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Best served over rice or mashed potatoes. Can substitute turkey for chicken or Greek yogurt for sour cream.
