A delightful dish of tender chicken and flavorful noodles in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 pcs green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, honey, and red chili flakes (if using), cooking for another minute.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well-coated in the sauce and heated through.
  6. Finally, return the chicken to the skillet, mixing well. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For a fun twist, try swapping out the noodles for whole wheat or zucchini noodles. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
