Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, blend the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour this flavorful sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it to high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  5. Once it’s done, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the pot, mixing it with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicier kick, use a spicier BBQ sauce or add chili flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 3 months.
