A flavorful and comforting breakfast casserole combining hearty sausage, fluffy eggs, and crispy tater tots, perfect for brunch or busy mornings.

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb tater tots
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until it’s browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Incorporate the minced garlic, chopped onion, and a sprinkle of black pepper.
  4. Grease a casserole dish, then layer the tater tots evenly. Follow with the cooked sausage and top with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients in the casserole dish, ensuring everything is well coated.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the top is a beautiful golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving, then dig in!
