A classic triple-decker sandwich with layers of turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on toasted bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 slices of bread (white or whole grain)
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon
  • 4 ounces of sliced turkey breast
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the three bread slices until they are golden brown.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted slice.
  3. Place the first slice mayo-side up and layer the turkey evenly over the bread.
  4. Add lettuce leaves and tomato slices, seasoning the tomato lightly with salt and pepper.
  5. Top the tomato with crispy bacon.
  6. Place the second slice of bread, mayo-side down, on top of the bacon. Spread the top of the second slice with mayo and repeat the turkey–lettuce–tomato–bacon layering.
  7. Finish with the final slice of toast, mayo-side down, and press gently to compact the sandwich.
  8. Cut the sandwich in half diagonally or straight down the middle to reveal the layered cross-section. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, store the sandwich wrapped in parchment paper and refrigerate leftovers for up to 24 hours. Re-toast bread separately before reassembling for freshness.
