An easy yet impressive chicken dish featuring a zesty lemon sauce and capers, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. In a large skillet, combine olive oil and unsalted butter. Heat over medium-high until the butter is fully melted.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook each side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth, add the lemon juice and rinsed capers. Bring to a simmer, scraping browned bits from the pan with a spatula.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and cook in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  6. Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, use green olives instead of capers or add a splash of heavy cream for a creamier sauce.
