A warm, comforting breakfast dish made with rolled oats and fresh apples, sweetened with maple syrup.

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, diced apple, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  3. If you’re adding nuts or dried fruit, fold them into the mixture now.
  4. Pour the oatmeal mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and beautifully golden.
  6. Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm or store it for convenient breakfasts throughout the week.

Notes

For added flavor, enjoy warm with extra maple syrup or a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Pair with yogurt or fresh berries.
