A delightful twist on traditional breakfast fare, combining the heartiness of sausage with the fluffiness of pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Combine the pancake mix and water in a mixing bowl, stirring until just mixed; don’t overmix!
  3. Fold in the crumbled sausage and shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. If desired, add a tablespoon of maple syrup and mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased muffin tins, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Allow them to cool slightly before removing from the tin. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These bites can be enjoyed with maple syrup or fresh fruit. They make for a great snack or appetizer as well.
